Listings dashboard: Key features
Editing product
Publish products to SHEIN
Bulk actions
Product status mapping
Managing existing products on SHEIN
Identifying linked and unlinked products
Linking SKUs
Key takeaways
Users must follow the Getting Started Guide to go through the complete set of requirements before beginning with AfterShip Feed. The guide outlines all the steps required on the SHEIN level as well as on the AfterShip Feed level for you to use our product hassle-free and get the most out of our features.
All your eCommerce platform products that have been mapped from the Products section to SHEIN sales channel(s) will appear under the Pending status on the Listings dashboard.
You can identify products labeled as Info incomplete, indicating they need required information edits before they can be published to your SHEIN sales channel. You can also hover over the Info complete label to see the list of required changes the product needs to publish it to SHEIN.

Manage listings status-wise: Manage all your listings on a unified dashboard and take different actions based on their current status.
View variants: Easily view and manage different product variants.
Switch sales channel: If you have multiple sales channels connected to AfterShip Feed, change your SHEIN sales channel seamlessly from the sales channel selector at the top of the page.
Filter listings: Narrow down product listings for better management based on SHEIN categories and publish status. Product listings can be filtered down by major statuses and sub-statuses. These statuses are indicative of the publishing state of the products to the SHEIN sales channel.
If you use SHEIN's auto-recommendation feature for product mapping, verify the accuracy of the recommended category before publishing.

Access store-level sync settings: Quickly navigate to the settings specifically related to syncing products for the entire store to the connected SHEIN sales channels. This means you can manage how product information, such as details, variants, pricing, and inventory, is synced between your eCommerce platform and SHEIN store automatically without requiring any manual intervention.

For the products labeled as Info incomplete, you need to edit the required information based on SHEIN's guidelines to publish the products successfully on the platform.
To access the product details customization section from the listings dashboard,
Click Edit to open the Product details page.

On top of the product editing module, a yellow box with all the information required to publish the product on SHEIN successfully will be displayed. Go through each one of them one by one and simultaneously make changes in the product editing module.
On the Product details page, you can manage.
Product sync settings
Product info editing
Product sync settings: Basic product information like product title, description, and image, as well as variants, their pricing, and inventory information, are controlled at the store-level settings.
If the auto-sync feature from the eCommerce store to your SHEIN site is enabled, all the product, pricing, and inventory updates from your eCommerce store will be auto-synced to SHEIN.
If the auto-sync price and inventory settings are enabled, you will not be able to edit the product-level pricing and inventory information on the product details page.
If you wish to customize these settings at the product level, meaning for each product individually, you need to disable the auto-sync settings or use custom price/inventory on your sales channel feature by clicking Set price/inventory option. Once you do, the product will no longer follow the default store-level settings.
Product information editing: You can edit and save the product information here.

Title and descriptions: You can update the product title and description to better represent the product on the SHEIN platform.
Options: The options here represent the main product attributes like size, color, and weight. These options will be synced from how your products are configured on your eCommerce platform and mapped to the options on your SHEIN store.
Option values: Based on the option selected, you can input the values accordingly. But here are a few important considerations while adding options and option values.
A. According to SHEINâs platform rules:
The main option (called the SHEIN main specification) must be selected from the official SHEIN specification list. Customization is not allowed.
All additional options (called SHEIN other specifications) must also be selected from the official SHEIN list. Customization is also not allowed for these.
B. When syncing products to SHEIN via AfterShip Feed:
AfterShip Feed will attempt to automatically map your eCommerce product options to SHEIN's standard specifications.
If a matching option name does not exist, users must manually select the closest matching option from the SHEIN-approved option list.
Example:
E-commerce option name: Watch band color
SHEIN-approved options: Color, Size, etc.
Action required: Manually map Watch band color â Color
Users can manually add new option names and values if necessary.
Images: Before we delve into image customization and editing, letâs first understand a few important concepts.
Key concepts:
A. SKC vs SKU vs SPU
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): Every unique combination of options (like color and size) is a separate SKU.
Example: "Brown, Size S" is one SKU. "Brown, Size L" is another.
SPU (Standard Product Unit): The base product without variations.
Example: A particular dress style before specifying color or size.
SKC (Stock Keeping Color): A group of SKUs that share the same value for the first/main option, usually color.
So all "Brown" variants (e.g., Brown-S, Brown-L) belong to one SKC.
B. Image handling on SHEIN:
Unlike most e-commerce platforms (where images are linked at the SPU level), SHEIN links product detail images at the SKC level.
That means:
Images are shown per color (or main spec), not just one set for all product variants.
Images for SKUs (e.g., Brown-S, Brown-L) are grouped and shown together under the Brown SKC.
C. When syncing images to SHEIN via AfterShip Feed ( Default behavior)
By default, we group SKU-level images by SKC (based on the main spec).
SPU-level (general) product images are stored in the image library, but:
Users must manually group these general SPU images into the correct SKC image groups.

Price and inventory customization: By default, the product price is auto-synced following your store settings.
a. You can set rules for syncing prices and inventory that may differ from your store settings.
Click Set prices or Set inventory. On the customization window, unselect Follow channel settings and select how you wish to synchronize prices/inventory for that particular product and its variants you are customizing. These rules will be limited to that productâs variants only.
b. You can also customize prices and inventory levels for individual products. Click Use custom price on your sales channel and set the price you want for the variants in the main value box.
Click Apply to all if you wish to apply the custom pricing to all the other variants.
If you want to set custom prices for all the variants, input the desired value against each variant, leaving the main value box empty.

c. Click Done once finished.
Category required fields: To optimize your product listing on SHEIN you can edit product categories, brands, and attributes, and upload additional materials such as size charts and product certifications.
Edit shipping information: SHEIN requires shipping information like package weight and dimensions to accurately calculate shipping fees, carrier compatibility, and realistic delivery estimates.
Once all the changes are done, save the changes.

A. Select warehouse: Before you publish products to SHEIN, you need to select a warehouse where your inventory will be stored.
If you want to change the warehouse after publishing, you can modify the warehouse settings in Product sync settings.
After publishing, your product will be in Reviewing status, awaiting SHEINâs approval.
B. Certification check
Once the product is uploaded, SHEIN will check the certifications. Merchants may need to upload the necessary certifications through the SHEIN Seller Hub.
Bulk edit
You can filter products by status to find those with incomplete information.
Click Status from the filters and select Info incomplete.
Select multiple products and use the Bulk edit product info option to make changes, including updating categories and shipping details.
Bulk-editing will only update categories, required attributes, and shipping details. To edit the productâs options, inventory, and price-related information, you need to do that individually for each product.
Bulk publish
You can publish multiple listings at once if they are ready to be published.
Click the Status filter and select Ready to be published to filter listings that are appropriately filled with the required information.
Select the listings that you wish to publish and click Publish from the bulk options.

Bulk remove
If you wish to remove certain products from the listings dashboard and would like to re-map them again, you can bulk-remove them.
Go to the Pending listings and select the ones you want to re-map.
Select Remove from the bulk options, then click Remove again.
The removed listings will be transferred back to the Product center from where you can re-map them again.

Bulk activate
For products that are deactivated on SHEIN and you want to activate them again, you can do that in bulk.
Go to Inactive listings and select the ones you want to activate again.
Click Activate from the bulk options, then click Activate again. The reactivated products will first go for review to SHEIN and upon a successful review will go live.

SKC Level Status: Each SKC (SKU combination) can have a separate status (active, reviewing, suspended) under an SPU (Standard Product Unit).
SPU Level Status: AfterShip Feed integrates these SKC statuses into a single SPU status for easier understanding.
This status mapping ensures you can track and manage product visibility, availability, and review process across multiple SKUs in a product listing.
For products already listed on SHEIN that havenât been synced through the Feed, it's crucial to ensure they are properly linked to your eCommerce platformâs SKUs for auto-syncing product information and orders. This is especially important for active products, as customers can purchase them anytime.
If auto-link is not enabled, or if your product cannot be auto-linked, you can filter unlinked products by their Link status or identify them using the Link icon.

SKU linking ensures orders and inventory from the SHEIN store can be synced to Shopify. These SHEIN store products needed to be linked to existing product SKUs on your Shopify store.
Go to the Active tab of the listing dashboard to see what products are linked and which are still unlinked.
Link status: You can filter products based on their link status. Products can be:
Linked: Successfully connected to your eCommerce system.
Unlinked/Partially linked: Not fully connected to your store, which can impede auto-sync capabilities.
Link icons: Each product has an icon that indicates its link status:
Linked icon: Indicates the product is fully linked.
Unlinked/Partially linked icon: Indicates the product is not fully linked, which you can see in the provided images.

To ensure your products are linked to your eCommerce correctly, you can link SKUs in two ways:
Listing dashboard
Hover over the link icon for the unlinked SKU and click Link SKUs or click Link under Actions column.
Complete the linking process by clicking Save.

Product details page: You can also link SKUs directly from the product details page.
Click Edit for the unlinked product to open its details page and navigate to the Link to Shopify SKU section under Variants.

Category mapping: Products must be mapped to SHEINâs categories, either automatically or manually.
Product editing: Merchants can edit titles, descriptions, options, images, variants, and other product details.
Image grouping: Images are grouped at the SKC level (not SPU level), requiring manual grouping of product images based on different SKUs.
Publish and review: Once a product is published, it will be under Reviewing status until approved by SHEIN.
Product statuses: Each SKC can have its status, and AfterShip Feed integrates these SKC statuses to display a unified SPU status, helping merchants understand their product visibility on SHEIN.
SHEIN and Shopify SKUs linking: Each SHEIN product needs to be fully linked to Shopify SKUs to enable smooth auto-syncing of inventory and orders.

4. Product status mapping
Understanding product statuses
SKC Level Status: Each SKC (SKU combination) can have a separate status (active, reviewing, suspended) under an SPU (Standard Product Unit).
SPU Level Status: AfterShip Feed integrates these SKC statuses into a single SPU status for easier understanding.
SKC Use Case | SPU Status | Definition |
---|---|---|
SKCs active | Active | Successfully reviewed SKCs under an SPU available for purchase on SHEIN. |
SKCs reviewing | Reviewing | SKCs under an SPU that have been published and are under review by SHEIN. |
SKCs suspended | Suspended | SKCs under an SPU that failed the review process by SHEIN. |
Deactivate SPU | Inactive | Deactivated SPUs that can be reactivated on SHEIN. |
Set all SKUs as unavailable | Inactive | Deactivated SKUs under an SPU that can be reactivated on SHEIN but the SPU still exists |
SKC1 active | Active - Partially active | Certain SKCs under an SPU are active on SHEIN while the others are under review |
SKC2 reviewing | ||
SKC1 active | Active - Partially active | SPU is in Active - Partially active state because one SKU is active while another is suspended. The product is sellable, but not all its variations are available. Suspended products are the ones that failed the review process by SHEIN. |
SKC2 suspended | ||
SKC1 active | Active - Partially active | SPU is in Active - Partially active state because at least one SKU is active while others are not sellable on SHEIN. It means the product is available, but not all its variations are. |
SKC2 reviewing | ||
SKC3 suspended | ||
SKC1 active | Active - Partially active | SPU is in Active - Partially active status because one SKU is active and the other is inactive. The SPU stays sellable on SHEIN, but not all its SKUs are available. |
SKC2 inactive | ||
SKC1 suspend | Suspended - Partially suspended | SPU is in Suspended - Partially suspended state because one SKU is suspended and the other is inactive. The SPU is suspended overall, but not all SKUs are in the same suspended state. |
SKC2 inactive | ||
SKC1 reviewing | Reviewing - Partially reviewing | SPU is in Reviewing - Partially reviewing state because one SKU is under review and the other is suspended. The SPU is mainly in review, but not all SKUs are in the reviewing state. |
SKC2 suspend |
This status mapping ensures you can track and manage product visibility, availability, and review process across multiple SKUs in a product listing.
Managing existing products on SHEIN
For products already listed on SHEIN that havenât been synced through the Feed, it's crucial to ensure they are properly linked to your eCommerce platformâs SKUs for auto-syncing product information and orders. This is especially important for active products, as customers can purchase them anytime.
If auto-link is not enabled, or if your product cannot be auto-linked, you can filter unlinked products by their Link status or identify them using the Link icon.

Identifying linked and unlinked products

Linking SKUs
To ensure your products are linked to your eCommerce correctly, you can link SKUs in two ways:
Listing dashboard
Hover over the link icon for the unlinked SKU and click Link SKUs or click Link under Actions column.
Complete the linking process by clicking Save.

Product details page: You can also link SKUs directly from the product details page.
Click Edit for the unlinked product to open its details page and navigate to the Link to Shopify SKU section under Variants.

Key takeaways
