Global Templates
Overview
AfterShip Feed has introduced a new feature, Templates, to let merchants reuse configured data across the catalogue for product listing. Save shipping dimensions, size charts, and compliance details once and apply them automatically when listing products on TikTok Shop. This reduces repetitive work and keeps your listings consistent.
Templates work at the organization level. This means they apply across all connected TikTok Shop stores unless you choose specific stores.

What can you save as a Template?
You can create three types of templates:
1. Shipping info
If you ship most products in similar-sized packages, create a Shipping Info template. Save your standard package dimensions – length, width, height, and weight.
- You do not need to fill in all fields.
- Limit: 10 shipping info templates per organization
2. Size chart
Upload size charts to attach automatically to your TikTok Shop listings.
- Currently supports image format only
- Limit: 10 size chart templates per organization
3. Compliance
Save product compliance information, such as hazmat status and regulatory declarations. For example, CA Prop 65: Carcinogens, CA Prop 65: Reproductive Chemicals
- You do not need to fill in all fields. Fill only the fields relevant to your products and selling regions
- Limit: 10 compliance templates per organization
How to access templates
- Log in to AfterShip Feed > Go to Settings in the left sidebar.
- Click Templates, under General Settings.

- Choose from three tabs: Shipping Info, Size Chart, and Compliance.
Setting up Templates during onboarding
When you connect a new TikTok Shop store, AfterShip Feed guides you to set up your first template as part of the onboarding flow.

- Default shipping info: Set up a default package dimension for your products, and it can be updated later.
After setting up, a Default template is created automatically and is applied to all stores.
How to create more templates?
There are two ways to create templates:
Method 1: Through Settings
- Go to Settings > Templates.
- Select a template type you want to create.
- Click Create template.

- Fill in these template details:
- Template name – Enter a descriptive and unique name like ‘Standard US Package’, ‘Women's Apparel Size Chart’, etc.
- Template description – Describe which products this template applies to. For example, “For all women's tops in the US store”. This helps AfterShip Feed match the right templates to the right products automatically.
- Sales channel – Choose which TikTok Shop this template should apply to. By default, this applies to all stores.
- Template type – Add the appropriate shipping dimensions, upload size chart image, or enter compliance information

- Click Save.
Method 2: Save from a product listing
When you are already editing a product listing, you can save the current values as a template without leaving the page. This is the fastest way to save a product’s existing shipping info, size chart, or compliance data as a reusable template.
- Go to Products > Listings.
- Open a product.
- In the listing detail, locate the section you want to save:
- Shipping tab – Click Save as template next to shipping package fields.

- Category required fields tab - Click Save as template beside the Size chart or Compliance sections.

- Click Save as template.
- A dialogue box will appear with the current values pre-filled. Fill in the template details below:
- Template name – A descriptive and unique name for the template.
- Template description – Describe which products this template applies to, to help AfterShip Feed match the right template automatically.
- Apply to sales channels – Choose all sales channels or select a specific sales channel.
- Click Save.
How to manage templates?
Once you have created templates, you can update and organize them based on needs. Here’s how:
Edit a template
- Click on any template in the list and open it.
- Update/edit the required fields.
- Click Save.
Delete a template
- Choose any one template to delete > click three dots (…) > Delete.

Reorder template
You can drag and drop templates to change their order. Reordering templates is important when multiple templates match a product. Keep the frequently used templates at the top to set priority. AfterShip Feed selects the first matching template in these scenarios.

How do templates work when listing products?
When you map a product to TikTok Shop, AfterShip Feed automatically applies templates to fill in the information.
- Shipping info – If your store (such as Shopify) already provides product dimensions, Feed uses that data first. Templates only apply when this information is missing, acting as a fallback.
- Size chart – Automatically applied to the product listing
- Compliance – Automatically applied to the product listing
If some required fields are still missing after applying templates, the product will be marked as Pending - Info incomplete. You will need to complete those fields manually before proceeding.
Existing customers — automatic migration
If you used AfterShip Feed before templates were introduced, your existing shipping, size chart, and compliance data are automatically migrated into templates. You will see a notification on the Home page once the migration is complete.
Note: You should review these templates to make sure everything is accurate and delete any that are not needed.
Key takeaways
- Create reusable templates to reduce manual data entry in product listing, ensuring consistent data across all TikTok Shops.
- You can create templates from Settings or directly save data from product listings.
- Store data always takes priority, and templates work as a fallback when store data is missing.
- Reorder templates as per priority to ensure the right data is applied automatically.
- Currently, templates support TikTok Shop only.
- Each template type is limited to 10 templates per organization and the size chart supports image format only.
