Self-Migration Guide: Migrate from Other Connector Apps to AfterShip Feed
Overview
This guide explains how to migrate to Feed using the self-migration process. If you're currently using other connector apps like SKUIQ, Silk, CedCommerce, or TikTokβs official app, you can switch to Feed smoothly without disrupting your product sync or order flow.
Note: This guide is intended for self-serve (SMB) users. If you are an enterprise or referral customer, your migration will be handled with assisted onboarding.
Before you begin
Before you begin to migrate to AfterShip Feed, make sure:
- To have access to your e-commerce platform and TikTok Shop.
- You are ready to uninstall or disable your current connector app.
- Know that improper setup may cause duplicate or unsynced orders.
Step-by-step migration process
Here is a stepwise guide to help you migrate to Feed:
Step 1: Uninstall existing connector apps
- Firstly, remove any existing connector apps you are using.
- Special case: If you want to use the TikTok official app (1P) for ads, you do not need to uninstall it. Instead, you can turn off order syncing.

Step 2: Connect your stores in Feed
You need to connect your e-Commerce store and TikTok Shop to establish product and order syncing.
Step 3: Enable auto-link
Turn on auto-link in Feed.
- SKUs will be automatically linked between platforms, and Feed will start syncing TikTok Shop orders to your e-commerce store.
- If both old and new apps are active, orders may be synced multiple times (creating duplicates).

Step 4: Check and fix unlinked products
- Go to Feed > Product syncing.
- If you see unlinked products, manually link the SKUs. This ensures that orders are processed correctly. Unlinked SKUs can block orders.

If all products are linked, proceed to the next step.
Step 5: Monitor and manage orders in Order Center
For at least one week after migration, monitor your orders closely in Order Center.
1. Unsynced orders
Some orders may not sync automatically β especially those placed before auto-link was enabled or during the transition from other apps. To resolve this:
- Go to the Order Center and select the order
- Click Sync.

2. Orders synced but missing shipping info
Some orders may be synced by previous apps, but their shipping information is not synced in the TikTok Shop. So, you need to manually fulfill these orders on TikTok Shop.
Step 6: Link SPUs for future product updates
If you plan to update the existing product details (title, description, images) or add new variants (SKUs), you must link SPUs in: Feed > Listings. Read more >
Why is SPU linking important?
Linking SPUs ensures that products from TikTok Shop are treated as Feed-published products, allowing proper syncing and updates between platforms.
When SPUs are linked (Product synced by Feed):
- A clear relationship is maintained between products across platforms
- Any new SKU added to your e-commerce product will be synced under the same TikTok Shop product

When SPUs are not linked (Products uploaded by others):
- The two SPUs are treated as separate, even if their SKUs are linked. This can lead to duplicate product listings on TikTok Shop.
- New SKUs added to your e-commerce store will not sync under the existing product. Instead, that SKU will be created as a new, separate product in TikTok Shop.

This is why linking SPUs is important, especially after migration, to maintain product structure and avoid duplication issues.
